Joan L. Hicks
Joan L. Hicks developed a deep love for music and singing, nurtured by her supportive parents. Over the years, she has shared her gift with warmth and compassion, performing regularly at nursing homes and churches throughout the community.
Joan has served as a featured soloist with the Wesley Chapel/St. John United Methodist Mass Choir and Hartsville Community Chorus. Joan is also a long-standing member, former vice-chairman, board member, and soloist with the Hartsville Community Chorus. She is also an active member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, where she sings faithfully and mentors youth.
Her singing ministry activities include: concert vocalist at the Welsh Neck Baptist Church's “Singspiration,”; 5th Annual Gospel Music at Coker University; sermonic soloist for U.S. Representative Jim Clyburn’s keynote address at St. John UMC in Oates, SC; soloist at the League of Women Voters program at Butler Heritage; Gospel in the Park (Pride), Hartsville SC.
