Joan L. Hicks
Joan L. Hicks developed a deep love for music and singing, nurtured by her supportive parents. Over the years, she has shared her gift with warmth and compassion, performing regularly at nursing homes and churches throughout the community.
Joan has served as a featured soloist with the Wesley Chapel/St. John United Methodist Mass Choir and Hartsville Community Chorus. Joan is an active member with the Hartsville Community Chorus and a former board member. She is also an active member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, where she sings faithfully and mentors youth.
Her recent performances include serving as the featured concert vocalist at the Welsh Neck Baptist Church's “Singspiration,” soloist at the League of Women Voters program at Butler Heritage in March 2025, and sermonic soloist for U.S. Representative Jim Clyburn’s keynote address at St. John UMC in Oates, SC, also in March 2025.
